Huawei Cloud Earns the Spain ENS Certification

Huawei Cloud has earned the Spain Esquema Nacional de Seguridad (ENS) certification, which was developed by La Entidad Nacional de Acreditación (ENAC, the national accreditation body) in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration and the National Cryptologic Centre (CCN). With high-level professional capabilities in cyber security, information security, privacy protection, and data protection, Huawei Cloud got high ratings in its availability, confidentiality, integrity, authenticity, and traceability. Huawei Cloud will provide high-quality cyber security and privacy protection for businesses in Spain.
ENS is short for Esquema Nacional de Seguridad (National Security Framework) and is part of the Royal Decree. Huawei Cloud was rated based on Royal Decree 311/2022, which is the latest version and has stricter cyber security standards than before, specifying the security measures that service providers must take. The ENS advanced certification is applicable to all public organizations and government agencies that have purchased cloud services, as well as the information and communications technology (ICT) providers in Spain. It guides institutions and enterprises in implementing effective security control measures on the cloud and on-premises.
The ENS standard evaluates the security capabilities of service providers in aspects of organization, service, and protection. Evaluated items include risk management, cyber security control, service continuity, physical security control, encryption and key management, personnel security, data protection, and privacy protection. Huawei Cloud demonstrated its multi-dimensional in-depth protection capabilities and got high ratings in availability, confidentiality, integrity, authenticity, and traceability. Its global cyber security and privacy protection capabilities have been recognized by Spanish organizations.
